- I was given a Cardinal modem (model MVP288XF) for Christmas. Since
- I have both an IBM and a Mac that this will be hooked to (and they
- are slightly cheaper) it is an IBM model. (Whatever that means.)
-
- Using Zterm on the mac, I can get the modem to make a connection,
- but after reporting the connection, I get nothin. I can type the
- escape code to get back to the AT command line, but that is little
- help. In testing with another computer, what I type at the keyboard
- is sent to the remote computer -- I simply get nothing on my screen
- in return.
-
- Has anyone had experience setting up a Cardinal modem on a Mac? Has
- anyone had any experience (with any modem) of a similar problem (where
- the connection is established, but nothing else comes onto the screen
- after that)?
-
- Please email responces since this newsgroup is too full to read
- regularly.
